We fell in love with this house when we were helping our parents find the perfect place to enjoy quiet living after living in bustling Austin. They spent years committing their time to their communities at church, teaching, building and growing their family.
The house has been the soul of our family and many family gatherings, backyard dinners and the most perfect place for our parents to enjoy their favorite things.
The Oak Tree House, was perfect for our family. We looked at many houses in Sun City but this house checked off everything on our list.
- The backyard oasis with a private wall for privacy is very rare in Sun City. We added the fence for our little dog, Norman.
- We wanted access to the entire property without steps and stairs.
- Huge windows allow the backyard beauty to flow into the house from the kitchen, bedroom and living areas. The majestic oak tree provides shade all summer to keep the porch and the house nice and cool.
- Easy access to a garden where they can water plants while enjoying breakfast or watching sunsets. The shade from the oak tree creates shade all day!
- The house layout with open living/dining/kitchen areas full of natural sunlight from both the front and back of the house. The huge master bedroom overlooks the private backyard and the large bathroom and walk-in closet are spacious. The 2nd bedroom has built-in cabinets and is the perfect size for a studio, office, bedroom or workout area.
Deer stroll by the house and love the green area behind the house. There is a huge green area that will always be green between the back wall of the property where birds and wildlife enjoy living.
Sun City: The options to be active, the diverse but close community and the beautiful natural area drew us to Sun City along with having amazing medical facilities and great grocery stores and shopping so close.
David and I enjoy bringing out the best in the houses and enjoy and appreciate traits like real wood floors, simplicity, nature, clean living, quiet spaces and family. We’ve added our touch to this house and garden and looking for the perfect next generation to add their touch to this beautiful property. As an artist, I enjoy hosting and creating experiences through homes and art.
